Rachel Grimes

On the next Lunchtime Classics, Louisville composer and pianist Rachel Grimes will be performing new works from her upcoming album The Clearing. There will be pieces for solo piano, and piano and string trio along with several arrangements from her previous album Book of Leaves. She will be joined live in the studio by Jane Halliday, violin, Melinda Odle, viola, and Felix Borges, cello.

Doors open at 11:45am. Brown bag your lunch and join us for this free performance. From 2010-2012 he was program director of Classical Minnesota Public Radio. He hosted and produced the award-winning series African American Voices, he’s the host for Louisville Orchestra concert talks, and a composer.
