The Saturday broadcasts of opera are really a high point of my listening. Thanks for giving us this listing.

I’d like to see the current piece that I receive when streaming, instead of the name of the host. We used to have this.

    Hi Larry,
I’ve posted detailed information here: http://wuol.org/search-playlist/#comment-12988
In short, we’re working with NPR Digital, the provider of our playlist information, to resolve these issues. We want them back as much as you do.

Today was a bad day. I went to Stonybrook Cinema today to see the first Met HD broadcast of the season, Eugene Onegin, to find out that the cinema had been sold and the new management did not want to carry the Met HD broadcasts. By the time I would get to Tinseltown the opera would have already started. I turned on WUOL to discover that you were not carrying the MET broadcast either. What’s with that?
For those reading this, both Tinseltown and the new Cinema at Mall St. Matthews will be carrying the MET HD broadcasts.

The HD cinema broadcasts are independent of the Saturday Matinee broadcasts, and do not always coincide. The Saturday Matinee Broadcast season begins December 7 (here’s the complete schedule: http://metoperafamily.org/metopera/broadcast/operainfo.aspx?sn=watch). Information on the HD broadcasts can be found here: http://metoperafamily.org/metopera/liveinhd/LiveinHD.aspx?sn=watch.
